VGUANG-M350
Safety Precautions
To ensure the safe and proper operation of the VGUANG-M350, please carefully observe the following precautions. Failure to follow these guidelines may result in device damage, malfunction, personal injury, or property damage.
Electrical Safety
- Power Supply Requirements: The device requires a 12-24V DC power supply. Use only the specified voltage range. Voltage exceeding the maximum rating may cause device failure or permanent damage.
- Power Source: The device can be powered from an access control power supply or a dedicated power source. Ensure the power supply meets the voltage and current requirements.
- Wiring Safety: All wiring must be secure and properly insulated. Ensure wires are not damaged, frayed, or exposed. Loose connections may cause short circuits, device damage, or fire hazards.
- Grounding: Properly ground the device according to local electrical codes and regulations.
Installation Environment
- Lighting Conditions: Avoid installing the device where the scanning window faces direct sunlight or high-intensity lighting. Strong light sources can cause image contrast issues, preventing proper QR code decoding, and may damage the CMOS image sensor over time.
- Metal Interference: Keep metal objects and magnetic materials at least 10 cm away from the NFC antenna area (located below the scanning window). Metal interference can significantly degrade card reading performance.
- Environmental Protection: Install the device in a location protected from excessive dust, moisture, and extreme temperatures.
Physical Handling
- Do Not Disassemble: Never attempt to disassemble, modify, or remove any seals or labels from the device. Unauthorized disassembly will void the warranty and may cause permanent damage.
- Protect the Scanning Window: The scanning window uses tempered glass with excellent light transmission and impact resistance. However, avoid contact with harder objects that could scratch the glass surface, as scratches may reduce QR code recognition performance.
- Avoid Physical Impact: Handle the device with care during installation and maintenance to prevent physical damage.
Operational Safety
- Proper Use: Use the device only for its intended purpose as a QR code and NFC card reader in access control systems. Do not use it for any other application.
- Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance as described in this manual. Keep the scanning window clean and free of obstructions.
- System Integration: Ensure proper integration with access control systems. Incorrect wiring or configuration may cause system malfunctions.
Warning Labels
- Voltage Warning: The device operates at 12-24V DC. Ensure all connections are made with the power supply disconnected.
- No User-Serviceable Parts: The device contains no user-serviceable parts. All maintenance and repairs must be performed by qualified technicians.
Important: Disassembling, modifying, or tampering with the device will void the warranty and may result in permanent damage. Always follow the installation and configuration procedures outlined in this manual.
