Stayforge Card
Handling & Storage
Proper handling and storage are essential for maintaining the longevity and reliability of your Stayforge Card.
Storage Guidelines
- Temperature: Store the card in a cool, dry place. The recommended storage temperature is between -40°C and +85°C.
- Humidity: Avoid storage in areas with high humidity or where condensation may occur.
- Protection: Use a card holder or sleeve to protect the surface from scratches and dirt when not in use.
Printing & Processing
- Surface Printing: If you intend to print on the card surface (e.g., for employee IDs), use a compatible thermal transfer or dye-sublimation printer designed for PVC cards.
- Adhesives: Do not apply stickers or adhesives that are difficult to remove, as they may damage the card surface or interfere with reader proximity.
- Lamination: Do not laminate the card using heat-based laminators, as the high temperature may damage the internal chip and antenna.
Long-term Management
- Periodic Inspection: If cards are stored for a long period, periodically inspect them for any physical degradation or signs of warping.
- Inventory Control: Maintain a log of issued and stored cards to ensure security and ease of management.
Failure to adhere to these storage and handling guidelines may result in a shortened product lifespan or communication failure.
