Stayforge Card
Operational Notes
Efficient management of Stayforge Cards is crucial for maintaining a secure and reliable access control system.
Lost or Stolen Cards
In the event that a card is lost or stolen, take the following actions immediately:
- Deactivate the Card: Log in to the Stayforge Dashboard and set the card status to "Disabled" or "Revoked."
- Review Access Logs: Check recent activity for the card to identify any unauthorized access attempts.
- Issue Replacement: If necessary, register and issue a new card to the user.
Permission Changes & Reissue
- Role Updates: When a user's role or access requirements change, update the device associations and permissions in the dashboard. The changes will be applied to the card's profile in the system.
- Card Reissue: If a card is physically damaged but the user remains authorized, decommission the old UID and register a new card.
Regular Maintenance & Inventory
- Audit Logs: Periodically review access logs and card lists to ensure only active and authorized cards are in the system.
- Physical Inventory: Conduct a periodic physical inventory of spare cards to ensure they are stored correctly and account for all stock.
- Reader Check: Ensure readers are clean and functioning correctly to prevent unnecessary wear or read errors.
Proactive management helps prevent security breaches and ensures a smooth user experience.
