Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues while using the Stayforge Card, please refer to the following guide for common problems and solutions.
The card is not being read
- Proximity: Ensure the card is held close enough to the reader (typically within 10mm).
- Interference: Check if there are other IC cards, metal objects, or electronic devices between the card and the reader.
- Orientation: Try presenting the card flat against the reader surface.
- Reader Status: Verify that the reader is powered on and functioning (check for status lights or sounds).
The card is read, but access is denied
- Registration: Confirm the card is correctly registered in the Stayforge Dashboard.
- Device Binding: Ensure the card is associated with the specific device/reader you are using.
- Permissions: Check if the user has the necessary permissions and that the card is not expired or disabled.
- Synchronization: Wait a few moments for system updates to synchronize with the hardware.
The card works on some readers but not others
- Reader Compatibility: Confirm that all readers support ISO/IEC 14443 Type A (MIFARE Classic).
- System Configuration: Check if the specific reader is correctly configured and connected to the Stayforge network.
- Physical Obstructions: Ensure there are no physical barriers or signal interference near the non-functional readers.
